Bulletin of NULL Results

Bulletin of NULL Results (nullRxiv), founded by the 5GH Foundation, is a multidisciplinary preprint service for global researchers. It primarily focuses on:

(1) Studies with null results, where the null hypothesis cannot be rejected

(2) Studies with negative results

(3) Replication studies that provide new insights

(4) Meta-analyses of published studies

The academic publishing industry has grown exponentially, with millions of research articles published each year. However, studies with null or negative results are rarely published, and their findings are not shared within the scientific community. This lack of sharing wastes the time and resources of other researchers who may have similar interests.

Additionally, while many research articles claim significant progress, a large number of them are not replicable. This can be due to misunderstandings about the results, intentional withholding of experimental details, or the use of false or fabricated data and images. These publications can be misleading, yet the scientific community is often not adequately warned about them.

To address these issues, the 5GH Foundation and its allies have established Bulletin of NULL Results (nullRxiv). This preprint service allows researchers worldwide to share their knowledge and experiences, which are often not accepted by traditional academic journals. The editorial board encourages researchers to submit their findings and to engage in discussions by commenting on the articles. Submissions and review reports can be sent to NULL@5gh.org.cn
